We just spent a week at Grandma's Cabin. It had everything you could want in a lake house. There were four adults and three kids. We were all comfortable and kept busy. The Reinhardts were very helpful and friendly. They take great care of the property. We also rented a boat from them which was great. We would definitely come back here.

My family and I just spent a wonderful week at Grandma's Cabin again this year. It is the third time I've brought my family, and about the fifth time I've stayed at this rental. The private dock and water activities are definitely the best part about staying here. The Reinhardt family rents powerful pontoon boats and my wife really loves the kayaks and water trampoline. I was impressed this year when we had nine grown adults in the pontoon boat and it still pulled skiers better than the ski boat I grew up with! The Reinhardt family is very kind and they sincerely want their guests to have a good time and enjoy the area. I love the Harrison area because it is quiet, but there is still plenty to do. We spent a lot of time playing on the private dock at Grandma's cabin, walked the bike trails in Harrison, and the kids could spend all day tubing behind the pontoon! The house is a little bit older, but it is perfect for a lake vacation and I have seen many improvements each year that I've been there. I love the beauty of the lake and am looking forward to bringing my parents and siblings out to Grandma's Cabin next year.

I absolutely can't say enough good things about this rental. We had a large group of adults and kids there for almost a week, and it was the perfect place for everyone. I especially liked how quiet and private it was, particularly during the weekdays. It had something for everyone - large yard was great for the kids, loved the covered porch for shady time in the afternoons, easy access to a great dock and lake, quick access to the bike trail. The house was perfect and had everything we could possibly need. Extra bonus was the nest of baby birds in the eaves above the porch. The house was clean and laid out well - we never felt cramped. Mike and Patty were great hosts and so helpful in every way. I would absolutely, with no reservations whatsoever, recommend this rental for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, spectacular escape to the lake. We hope to return there on an annual basis - it was the perfect vacation spot. Heartfelt THANKS for providing such a beautiful place to escape. The extra guest house was also great, such a sweet little place.

This cabin is perfect for families. Kids in our group ranged from age 6-15 and they all had a terrific experience. The dock, swimming area, and water trampoline were perfect for kids of every age. The cabin is perfect for adults as well, with tremendous views of the lake and very good water access. The cabin is well stocked and very comfortable, plus a gas grill. The south end of the lake has less water traffic and multiple bays for exploring and playing. Evening/sunset campfires on the waterfront are awesome. The cabin also has easy acess to Harrison by road and water. Cabin also has easy access to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail, which is one of the best bike trails anywhere (scenic but flat, perfect for anything from a relaxing family ride to a long road bike tour). Mike and Patty are great hosts and made sure our visit was relaxing and stress-free. We brought kayaks/canoe for paddling, swim toys, fishing poles, chairs for lounging on the dock, bikes, and of course, a boat (rent one from Mike and Patty if you don't have one, it is well worth it), and this spot was perfect for all of those activities.

Grandma's Cabin- Something for Everyone

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Grandma's Cabin. We stayed a week. Our kids range in age from 3-16 and this property had something for everyone! The waterfront had a nice shallow area for the 3 year old to wade in and the older kids enjoyed using the paddle boat, water trampoline, swimming further out, and sunning on the dock. Loved the waterfront! We had a fantastic time with the boat that we rented and enjoyed the convenience of having it right at the dock. It was so much fun! We found after exploring Lake CDA that we really liked this end of the lake the best, so we were very pleased with this location. This side of the lake stayed sunny into the evening which was nice too. The cabin itself had everything you could need, with plenty of space for the 6 of us, a well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, a nice tv, books and games (indoor and outdoor.) We also liked having the nice sunny grass yard for the kids to play on and enjoyed having meals on the covered patio with a view of the lake. Mike, Patty and Tom were so nice and we really appreciate all they did to ensure that we had a nice stay. Thank you! Grandma's Cabin was a fabulous place to relax and enjoy all that Lake Coeur d' Alene has to offer and we highly recommend it. It got a thumbs up from everyone in the family. I hope we get to come back sometime!bill r said...

My 3 boys and I had a wonderful time at Grandma's Cabin. We caught lots of fish, including a 5 pound largemouth bass, and really got to enjoy the beauty of the lake. The boat dock was a great time saver and obviously very convenient. Accommodations in the cabin itself were really nice, especially the full size washer and dryer. There is plenty of room in the cabin. We actually had more than enough room for ourselves. The central location on the lake made it easy to get to anywhere we needed to go in our boat. The highlights of the cabin stay were deer in the yard every day, and wild turkeys nearly every day. While on our boat, we saw osprey, golden eagles, bald eagles, and a moose with her twin calves. It was a great week away and we look forward to the next time we get to come up to your neck of the woods. Sincerely, Lynn (Stay June 14 - June 22, 2009
